Job Description

We are in search of our next dynamic team member to fill the roles of part-time Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant. The ideal individual will have understanding of accounting principles and the ability to perform with good judgment in a variety of situations, strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. The Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities. The successful applicant will provide a wide-range of administrative support to the property management team and bookkeeping for a number of strata and homeowner associations. The position requires a high degree of initiative and judgement.

Bookkeeping Assistant - This will consist of accounts payable, accounts receivable and data entry, etc.

Administrative Assistant - This will consist of processing, organizing and filing of forms, documents, emails and other correspondence, writing letters, owner correspondence, maintenance coordination, communications with board of directors/council members, website maintenance, etc.

Understanding of basic accounting principles Team player with excellent organizational and customer service skills Time management and ability to multi task and prioritize in a wide range of tasks Strong communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and PDF applications Able to develop/maintain an effective filing and documentation system Property management and real estate industry experience an asset Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with clients, vendors and associates Analytical - takes a logical approach to analyzing problems, conducting research on behalf of property manager, organizing work and planning action Proactive - anticipates and initiates action to meet needs Adaptable - able to work with diverse personalities and styles Experience with Quickbooks is an asset but not required An understanding of strata and homeowner associations is an asset but not required

This position will start out as a part time position (20-30 hours per week) with the potential to grow with the business if desired.
