Job Description

Robert Half is in search of experienced Billing & Collections Specialist to join a well renowned organization in the Ottawa region. This is a full-time/permanent position.

Responsibilities:

-Posting of sales invoice

-Sending sales invoice to customer and/or submitting invoices to customer invoice processing portals.

-Preparation of milestone invoices as specified in contract with customer

-Provide proper documents to support invoice to customer for approval of customer payment process.

-Notify customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment

-Apply debits and credits to customer\'s account

-Traces unpaid items to determine reasons for nonpayment

-Contact with customer by telephone or email in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment

-Follow up on payments

Qualifications:

-Post secondary education majoring in accounting

-2+ years of work experience in billing and collection

-Time management and organization skills

-Attention to detail

-Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

-Must be flexible during month end
