The Opportunity:

The Medavie Talent Acquisition Team is growing, and we are looking for a Bilingual Recruitment Specialist to join our team!

This role is ideally suited for a high-energy individual who can take initiative while continually managing competing priorities. Reporting to the Team Leader, Talent Acquisition, this position combines full-cycle recruitment and supporting Recruitment Consultants with a variety of pre-hire recruitment and onboarding tasks throughout Canada.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment Coordinator duties:

  • Support to Recruitment Consultants: screening resumes, short-listing candidates, conducting telephone pre-screen, coordinating assessments/testing, processing background/reference checks and security clearance documents
  • Post positions on our Career Site, Job Boards, social platforms, and other media channels to increase candidate pool
  • Administer, sort, track, file and acknowledge all on-line applications and maintain the flow of candidates via the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Plan and attend recruitment activities such as, Job fairs, presentations, and related activities both virtually and off site
  • Assist with new hire onboarding process and deliver welcome presentations to new employees
  • Run weekly and ad hoc recruitment reporting
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Full-Cycle Recruitment duties:
  • Partnering with Hiring Leaders to proactively identify staffing needs, build talent pipelines through sourcing efforts, facilitate interviews with Hiring Leaders, partner in making talent recommendations and present offer to candidates outlining a total rewards package (IE: compensation, benefits, vacation, etc.)
  • Conduct pro-active market research and on- going relationship management to understand the recruitment landscape & competitors
  • Lead recruitment initiatives that support staffing efforts and ensure alignment with the organization\'s values, vision, and strategic objectives
  • Curate an exceptional candidate experience at each point of contact to ensure achievement of recruitment goals
  • Forge excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work strategically to assist in the resolution of staffing challenges and to think outside-the-box to develop creative recruitment strategies
  • Collaborate with other team members and client groups to improve and streamline processes
Education:
  • Post-secondary education in related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • HR Designation an asset
Experience:
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
  • Detail oriented with superior follow-up and proven ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience recruiting in a unionized environment
  • Experience working with an ATS - Applicant Tracking System (SuccessFactors or Workday preferred) and other recruitment tools and technology
  • MS Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with virtual/remote hiring and onboarding
  • Experience leading behavioral based interviews with hiring managers and guiding them through the process
  • Experience preparing and presenting offer details to candidates including: compensation, benefits, vacation and pension

Language:
  • Bilingualism in French and English (Written and Spoken) is mandatory for this position
