Foreign Worker Assistant
position.
As our
Foreign Worker Assistant,
you will be responsible for helping TFW Coordinator provide ongoing support and translation for the temporary foreign workers during the busy season,
March
to
November.
The role will also assist the Human Resources department with related administrative tasks, events planning, and other duties as assigned.
As our FW Assistant, you'll be accountable for:
Assisting TFW Coordinator with providing communication and support to Guest Workers
Support TFW Coordinator in the Onboarding and Integration process for the new foreign workers (orientation, hiring packages, etc)
Accompanying foreign workers to medical appointments or hospitals and complete the required medical forms, acting as liaison officer and interpreter
Help with staff housing management including organizing cleaning, cleaning inspection, and inventory
Attend facility meetings with TFWs and passing on relevant information to the appropriate persons (complaints, concerns, request for repair, breakage, etc.)
Translate from English to Spanish and vice versa, an array of materials (publications, communications, presentations, reports, etc.) in the areas of payroll, training, and human resources management
Participate in organizing the company's events
Assist with various administrative tasks in the office (scanning, printing, etc)

Respect and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety and all company policies and procedures
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Education or experience in related fields (administration, human resources, etc) is an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Valid BC Driver's license
Flexibility (be available during all shifts, outside normal working hours)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, outlook)
Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to details
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive issues
