Independent Contractor Instructor Role - GM Allied Services (Reclife)

About Us

GM Allied Services Inc. (Reclife) provides innovative programs designed to build independence, social connection, and functional skills for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our services combine technology, hands-on learning, and evidence-based approaches to create meaningful outcomes for participants.

We are seeking independent contractor instructors to lead two of our specialized programs: Tech-Life and the Airfryer Cooking Club.

Position 1 : Tech-Life Instructor

Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Location: Mississauga

Program Focus: Tech-Life strengthens everyday functional skills using Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (LLMs), and real-world practice. Participants work on social, behavioral, and life skills in an interactive, tech-enabled environment.

Requirements:

Strong technology literacy (comfortable with VR devices, tablets, interactive apps, and AI tools). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Ability to support participants in areas such as: Social & conversation skills Behavioral & sensory regulation Life skills & community navigation Joint attention Safety training ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) training or background is a strong asset. Excellent communication and patience in adapting to diverse learning needs. Valid CPR certificate, vulnerable sector check
Position 2 : Airfryer Cooking Club Instructor

Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location: Mississauga

Program Focus: The Airfryer Cooking Club teaches 20+ air-fryer recipes while providing nutritional education. Sessions emphasize hands-on cooking, healthy eating, and building mastery in meal planning for everyday independence.

Requirements:

Basic culinary skills, with confidence using air fryers and safe food handling. Ability to explain recipes and nutrition concepts in simple, engaging ways. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong facilitation skills to keep sessions fun, safe, and structured. ABA background or behavioral strategies experience is a strong asset. CPR certificate, Valid vulnerable sector check
General Expectations for Both Roles

Operate as an independent contractor (not employee status). Bring creativity, structure, and enthusiasm to every session. Collaborate with program leads to adjust content for participant needs. Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Reliable, punctual, and professional communication.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
