Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Banquet Chef for the remainder of the 2025 season.

Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is a beautiful 27 hole Scottish links style championship golf course located 10 minutes southwest of Saskatoon on the scenic Valley Road. The Club offers a full range of food services throughout it's various outlets including weddings, tournaments, banquets and a full service restaurant/patio.

Role & Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager while being responsible for the food services during events throughout the operation while upholding all company standards and policies

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Banquet Chef, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests during various events and functions.

Duties



Prepare and cook high-quality meals for banquets, ensuring all dishes meet the established standards of taste and presentation. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and ensure timely execution of food service during events. Supervise and assist kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management.

Experience



Previous experience (at least 5 years) as a Chef in a restaurant or banquet setting is mandatory. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety practices. Experience in restaurant management or team management is a plus. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. A background in hospitality is beneficial for understanding guest expectations.

Pay: From $8,000.00 per month
