Summary
We are seeking a talented Banquet Chef / Prep Cook to join our team at St. James Gate at West Hills Golf. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes for our special events and banquets, contributing to the overall success of our culinary operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events.
Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items.
Assist in managing kitchen operations during events, ensuring timely service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Contribute to menu planning and recipe development.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant and/or banquet setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Up to date Food Handlers Certificate.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to quality service.
Wage is negotiable based on experience.
