Now we're looking for a Bakery Packager to join our Bakery Production Kitchen team, located above our Rosedale store.

What you'll do

Package and label a wide variety of bakery items for retail sale across Summerhill Market locations Receive and fulfill store and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently Maintain thorough production records and documentation Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and distribution of packaged goods Prepare and fill wholesale orders with attention to quality and presentation Follow order sheets and execute production plans accurately Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any supply or product shortages Assist with inventory and ordering of packaging supplies Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including Toronto Public Health regulations Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of supplies Collaborate with the Lead Packager and support the team as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by management
What we're looking for

Minimum two years of experience in a kitchen, production facility, or food packaging environment Food Handlers Certification required High school diploma preferred Familiarity with inventory control or food tracking systems is an asset Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in both refrigerated and warm environments Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods Comfortable using digital tools (email, order sheets, basic inventory software)

All entry-level retail and kitchen roles begin at minimum wage ($17.20/hr). Pay is negotiable based on experience.
