Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Bakery Assistant to join our crew. The ideal hire would enjoy customer service, be reliable, feel comfortable with light food handling/prep, and enjoy being one of the faces of an integral business in the local food community. This role involves being one of a few, running the daily operations of the retail bakery.
This position is currently part time but can become full time for the right candidate.
Experience/Skills
Previous experience in a food-based customer service role is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and baking processes or dressings are an asset. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and other work mates. Organizational skills to ensure ordering and communication systems are followed appropriately Foodsafe Level 1 or the basic understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry with the willingness to get your Foodsafe Level 1 soon after starting employment. The desire to learn our products and methods to be able to communicate them properly to our customers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
