We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our dynamic team. The Service Writer will play a crucial role in upselling services and enhancing customer satisfaction while effectively managing service orders.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their service needs and inquiries.
• Accurately document customer information and vehicle details in the service management system.
• Assess customer concerns and recommend appropriate services based on mechanical knowledge and automotive repair practices.
• Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer requests and ensure clarity on service requirements.
• Provide detailed estimates for services, including parts and labor costs, while promoting additional services through upselling techniques.
• Manage the service schedule to optimize workflow and minimize customer wait times.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of payments received.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service department, preferably within an automotive dealership environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive repair processes.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining a positive rapport with customers.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is preferred.
• A detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to continuous learning about new technologies and services.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
