Duties
Guide customers through the financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and contractual details clearly and confidently
Analyze credit reports and financial information to determine loan eligibility and optimal financing solutions
Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, insurance packages, and service plans to enhance customer value
Negotiate terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to company policies and legal regulations like TILA (Truth in Lending Act)
Process loan applications efficiently using financial software, ensuring accuracy in documentation such as contracts and title processing
Collaborate with lenders and financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms for customers
Maintain excellent customer relationships by providing transparent communication, timely updates, and exceptional service throughout the sales process
Skills
Proven experience in automotive sales, dealership operations, or financial services with a focus on loan officer responsibilities
Strong customer relationship management skills to foster trust and loyalty with clients
Expertise in credit analysis, loan processing, and contract negotiation to ensure compliant and advantageous deals
Familiarity with financial software systems and proficiency in 10 key typing for accurate data entry
Knowledge of regulations, title processing procedures, and basic math skills necessary for calculating payments and interest rates
Excellent negotiation abilities combined with persuasive sales techniques to upsell products effectively
