Apex Aluminum is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs.



We are seeking a AutoCAD Drafter. Working closely with Estimators, Customer Service, Quality and Die Manager, you will be responsible for various tasks which include but are not limited to providing drafting and production control support for Apex. This position will report to the Manager of Customer Experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings to design complex approval die Collaborate with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issues Lead, develop and grow the drafting team Use Aluminum Standard Tolerance Table to create drawings with accuracy Prepare packaging and fabrication drawings. Facilitate packaging meetings to implement improvements. Accurately create and update die information in ERP system. Work with die suppliers and die department to place purchase orders Incorporate drawing corrections from internal and external customers with minimal supervision. Work with sales and quotations team to ensure all quotation drawings meet lead time expectations Supply AutoCAD support for the fabrication and packaging department Audit and maintain files and records Full time office position

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

AutoCAD certification. Outstanding AutoCAD experience required in engineering drawings Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Office & other general computer skills. Leadership and training experience ERP Software experience. 2+ years' experience drafting Aluminum Curtainwall, Storefront, and exterior panels systems Experience in Aluminum extrusion, glass or construction industry would be an asset.

Mon to Fri - 8:00am to 4:30pm
