Audio Visual Warehouse Technician (Oakville, ON)

Established in 2006, APG Rentals offers production installation, operation, and support services to Live Event Rentals & Staging, Broadcast, Exhibit and Special Events industries.

SUMMARY OF ROLE

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE AUDIO-VISUAL LIVE EVENTS INDUSTRY IS A MUST. If you do not have previous AV Live Events industry experience, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. The Warehouse Lead will provide key support for the success of daily operations within the APG Rentals warehouse. Role reports to the APG Operations Manager and works from the APG Rentals Oakville ON office location.

*Assist the internal team during the preparation of equipment orders for live event rental projects and permanent installations. This includes the pulling, packing, check-out, loading, check-in, quality control, restocking of all equipment assets. This also includes any equipment cross-rented from other suppliers.

*IntelliEvent inventory tracking software used to accomplish the above.

*Assist with and implement the quality control process and maintenance of equipment as directed by the Operations Manager.

*Warehouse Lead to have a clear understanding and knowledge of equipment shipping coordination and required associated documents. Assist Operations Manager and Logistics Manager when required.

*Lead, document and monitor the LED RMA & repair process.

*Assist with equipment loading and unloading in the warehouse.

*Operation of forklift and additional lift equipment.

*Operation of APG truck as directed by Operations Manager.

*Participate in regular equipment inventory counts as directed.

*Ensure that the warehouse remains organized and properly maintained. All equipment needs to be in the appropriate assigned locations.

*Ensure that all personnel adhere to all Health & Safety policies when working in the warehouse.

*Ensure all warehouse safety protocols are adhered to by all personnel. This includes appropriate safety procedures, PPE, and documentation.

*Willingness to participate in training courses & instruction that directly and indirectly relate to this role & the associated responsibilities.

*Perform duties outside the regular scope of work as directed by the Operations Manager from time to time.

*Submission of accurate timesheets per direction of Operations Manager.

*Unless directed otherwise, punctual work hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.

*Due to the nature of APG Rentals business and this position, projects may require non-traditional working hours such as early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

*This position requires manual labour.

*Based on the nature of APG Rentals business and this position, working conditions may also include office administration.

*The Warehouse Lead is to monitor email and phone communication and be willing to respond to colleagues, clients, suppliers, and contractors, with feedback during non-traditional hours of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

*PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THE AUDIO-VISUAL LIVE EVENTS INDUSTRY IS A MUST.

*Knowledge of current LED display and other audio-visual technologies is an asset.

*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

*Working knowledge of IntelliEvent preferred.

*Able to supervise the work of others.

*Knowledge of competitors and competitive technology.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

*Clean background record.

*COVID 19 vaccinated.

*Maintain a legal driver's license for use of personal vehicle and APG truck operation.

*Be able to lift 50lbs.

*Be able to work from a ladder.

*Working at Heights; Fall Arrest; Scissor Lift Certification an asset.

*Legal to work in Canada.

*Ontario and greater Toronto area resident preferred.
