About the Role



We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Audio Visual (AV) Technician to provide on-site support at corporate locations. This position is ideal for someone eager to start a career in AV technology, IT support, or corporate technical services. You will work alongside senior technicians to maintain and support audio-visual systems in meeting rooms, conference spaces, and office environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio and visual equipment in various settings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience with both hardware and software components to ensure seamless operation during events and presentations.

Key Responsibilities



Install, configure, and maintain audio/visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.

Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair of AV systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues, escalating when necessary.

Perform routine equipment checks to ensure systems are fully operational.

Keep conference rooms and AV systems clean, functional, and ready for use.

Work with low-voltage wiring and electrical components while adhering to safety standards.

Follow company standards, safety guidelines, and customer service best practices.

Qualifications



Minimum of 1 year of post-secondary education in a relevant field (AV, IT, computer science, or related). Previous experience with computer languages and IT proficiency will be prioritized. Proficient in using hand tools for installation and maintenance tasks. Software troubleshooting abilities to resolve technical issues efficiently. Solid understanding of computer hardware components related to AV systems. Knowledgeable in telecommunication systems relevant to audio visual setups. Mechanical knowledge for effective handling of AV equipment repairs. Familiarity with reading schematics for installation guidance. Previous electrical experience is an asset in ensuring safe operations of AV installations. Strong interest in technology, eagerness to learn, and passion for technical support. Hardworking, punctual, and able to work well independently or as part of a team. Basic knowledge of audio/video or IT hardware preferred (training will be provided). Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits



Starting pay: $22.50 CAD per hour, increasing to $25.00 CAD per hour after a 90-day probationary period. Full-time position with steady hours. Two weeks of paid vacation per year.
