About the Position:

We are seeking qualified faculty for the following subject areas:

*Human Resources

Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology invites applications from qualified and passionate individuals interested in teaching on a part-time basis for The School of Business, and School of English & Liberal Studies commencing August 2023, pending sufficient enrolment.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Create a positive teaching and learning environment;
  • Prepare and/or update lesson plans;
  • Provide innovative course instruction that uses a variety of teaching and assessment methodologies that are in accordance with curriculum standards and direction of the College.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade student assessments including detailed feedback;
  • Monitor student performance, maintain progress reports and facilitate student success;
  • Communicate with students in a timely manner;
  • Follow the Academic Calendar and the policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess as a minimum an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent with a preference for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Human Resources and/or Organizational Behaviour.

Ideally, candidates will have either the CHRP or CHRL designation as recognized by HRPA. You will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a human resources setting, preferably at a management level with progressive experience and responsibility.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student engagement, scholarly activity, global citizenship, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Candidates who demonstrate knowledge or competency in the following academic skills and abilities will be given preference: curriculum design; instructional design and delivery; active, collaborative learning techniques; effective assessment and evaluation of learning; appropriate use of technology for teaching and learning; a track record of professional and academic development.

Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff and be a cooperative team player who operates under a student-centered philosophy.
