Job Duties & Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
Manage Quality Control related activities regarding all in-process checks, deviations, RM release, and finished products release. Ensure that products conform to specifications and regulatory requirements.
Approve or reject all formulations, procedures, specifications, test methods and results that affect the purity, quality and composition of each product.
Approve or reject all raw materials, packaging materials and finished products, including products manufactured at foreign sites, based on conformance / non-conformance to respective specifications.
Develop and maintain quality standards for all types of product. Plan and track quality control activities and prepare raw material specification as per standards.
Approve Raw Material Specifications before purchase. Develop Finished Product Specifications for existing & New Products.
Prepare Certificate of Analysis for all clients, prepare Stability reports and Nutritional Facts for products.
Maintain Master formulations, Change Control and history records. Develop & make master formula for all new registrations. Identify and analyse issues related to in- process manufacturing and resolve them.
Review & maintain Work Orders and all related documents. Complaint handling: record all details about complaint and prepare complete investigation report, correspond to client till it\xe2\x80\x99s resolved.
Communicating with clients and Laboratory for technical matters. Ensure that the contract laboratories are capable of performing all of the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them.
Review and verify test protocols, COA\xe2\x80\x99s received from third party laboratory. Investigate OOS results received from laboratory and find solutions.
Maintain laboratory records of tests and investigations. Provide technical documents for sales team.
Understand country specific standard requirements to make proper documentations.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum BSc. in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology or Food Science, obtained or recognized by a Canadian University.
At least 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 management experience in Quality Control in a pharmaceutical / nutraceutical or any food manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge in CFIA FSEP Manual and HACCP System preferred.
In depth understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9000, GMP, FSSC 22000, HACCP training certification.
Management skills in implementing and maintaining quality systems
Proficient with computer and database programs, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
Excellent management and leadership skills, and inter-personal skills
Flexible and has the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
