Position: Quality Control Manager
Location: Dorval, Office based role
Salary: $80K to $100K + 10% bonus
As an Aerospace Quality Control Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our aerospace manufacturing processes adhere to industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing quality control plans and strategies to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Supervising and providing leadership to a team of quality control technicians and inspectors, ensuring their training, development, and adherence to established quality standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to identify and resolve quality-related issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections of production areas, equipment, and procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Leading root cause analysis investigations and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformities and customer complaints and ensuring effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality control, analyzing data trends, and generating reports for management review and decision-making.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aerospace manufacturing quality control and implementing necessary updates to the quality management system.
- Fostering a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Collaborating with suppliers and customers to establish and maintain quality control requirements and ensure effective communication and resolution of quality-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. A master\'s degree is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of aerospace industry quality standards and regulations, such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA requirements.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and quality control methodologies in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience in leading and managing quality control teams, including training, performance management, and development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using quality management tools, statistical analysis software, and other relevant software applications.
