Job Description

The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager ensures that the Quality System of Maricann complies to the Cannabis Act, EU-GMP and GPP guidelines. Key Job responsibilities, but not limited to: \xc2\xb7 Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager/QAP, the Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for assuring that incoming and outgoing product quality meets the quality requirements as established between the company and its customers. \xc2\xb7 Leading activities related to GMP, GPP, compliance and regulatory matters, including inspections by government agencies (HC, EU-Authorities) as well as customer audits \xc2\xb7 Investigating customer complaints \xc2\xb7 Preparing annual performance quality reviews \xc2\xb7 Ensure product quality over all GACP and GMP stages from cultivation, processing to packaging and storage.

  • Risk analysis, Process validations and continued monitoring
  • Employee trainings (cultivation, production, QA/QC)
  • Deviations
  • OOS, CAPAs
  • Change Control Management
  • SOP approvals and training
  • Self-inspections
\xc2\xb7 Supporting QC as part of QA department
  • Ensure Incoming Goods Inspection, IPCs and finished product testing
  • Maintenance, calibration and equipment qualification
  • Perform qualification of suppliers and contract laboratories
  • Stability studies
Education and Experience \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree in a science or pharmaceutical field with three years demonstrated success in a Pharmaceutical, / NHP / Medical Cannabis industry in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Regulatory Affairs / Compliance or equivalent environment. \xc2\xb7 Strong working knowledge of GPP requirements and ACMPR regulations that apply to Medical Cannabis. \xc2\xb7 Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office programs \xc2\xb7 Valid security clearance by Health Canada \xc2\xb7 Minimum two years successful demonstrated ability to train others in procedures and communicate QA practices Core Competencies \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated self-starter abilities to perform work with minimal supervision as well as a team player \xc2\xb7 Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving ability to deliver on the QA mandate \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high performing team environment \xc2\xb7 Self-motivated; willingness to take initiative and accept responsibility with minimal direction \xc2\xb7 Flexible and adaptable to change \xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to demonstrate the importance of the QA function with all levels at Maricann and externally to deliver on objectives. \xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are required ABOUT MARICANN INC.
