L'Assistant Gerant & Gerant de Bar occupe un role double : diriger le programme du bar et soutenir les operations generales du restaurant. Ce poste exige un leader organise, present sur le terrain, capable de developper un programme de boissons raffine, d'offrir une experience client exceptionnelle, de maintenir un haut niveau operationnel et d'appuyer l'equipe de gestion pendant le service.
Responsabilites principales
Programme du bar & operations boissons
Superviser toutes les operations du bar, en garantissant la qualite, la constance et la presentation selon les standards haut de gamme.
Creer et mettre a jour les cartes des vins, spiritueux et cocktails selon la saison et le concept de l'etablissement.
Developper des recettes innovantes en mixologie adaptees au theme et aux preferences de la clientele.
Effectuer les inventaires quotidiens, gerer les couts, controler les portions et reduire les pertes.
Passer les commandes de vins, spiritueux, bieres et boissons, et assurer la rotation et le stockage adequat.
Encadrement & formation du personnel
Former les barmans, serveurs et commis-bar sur les produits, techniques de mixologie et standards de service.
Organiser des ateliers et formations continues pour maintenir l'excellence.
Encadrer l'equipe de bar en assurant efficacite, accueil et constance dans le service.
Gestion du service
Travailler derriere le bar pendant les quarts de service, avec une approche active et participative.
Assister a la gestion de la salle lors des periodes de pointe.
Gerer les demandes ou plaintes clients avec professionnalisme.
Collaborer avec la direction sur les changements de quart, la gestion de la salle et les evenements speciaux.
Proprete, hygiene & conformite
Respecter et faire respecter les normes MAPAQ et CNESST.
Maintenir la proprete et l'organisation du bar, incluant verrerie, outils et espaces de travail.
Realiser les nettoyages quotidiens et hebdomadaires selon les protocoles etablis.
Support administratif & operationnel
Participer a la planification des horaires et a la preparation de la paie du personnel du bar.
Suivre et analyser les ventes pour optimiser revenus et marges.
Contribuer a l'organisation d'evenements, promotions et fonctions privees.
Appliquer et faire respecter les politiques de l'entreprise.
Qualifications & competences
Minimum
3 ans d'experience
en gestion de bar ou en tant que barman senior dans un environnement haut de gamme et a grand volume.
Expertise averee en mixologie, vins et spiritueux (certification WSET ou equivalent est un atout).
Leadership et communication exemplaires en
francais et anglais
.
Maitrise de la gestion des inventaires, relations fournisseurs et controle des couts.
Capacite a performer dans un environnement rapide tout en maintenant des standards eleves.
Connaissance des normes MAPAQ et CNESST.
Permis de travail valide et residence au Quebec (obligatoire).

The Assistant Manager & Bar Manager plays a dual role: leading the bar program and supporting overall restaurant operations. This position requires a highly organized, hands-on leader who can execute a refined beverage program, deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain operational excellence, and support the management team in day-to-day service.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Program & Beverage Operations
Oversee all bar operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet high-end standards.
Curate and update wine, spirits, and cocktail menus to reflect seasonal changes and brand concepts.
Design innovative mixology recipes tailored to the venue's theme and clientele.
Manage daily bar inventories, control usage, prevent loss, and optimize cost of goods.
Place and track orders for wine, spirits, beer, and beverages with suppliers.
Ensure proper stock rotation, storage, and bar equipment maintenance.
Implement portion control and waste reduction practices.
Staff Leadership & Training
Train bartenders, servers, and barbacks on products, mixology techniques, and service standards.
Conduct ongoing refresher and upselling training sessions.
Supervise bar staff during service, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and guest engagement.
Service Management
Work hands-on behind the bar during service, preparing and serving cocktails.
Assist with front-of-house management during peak hours.
Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
Collaborate with the General Manager on shift changes, floor supervision, and events.
Cleanliness, Hygiene & Compliance
Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards across all bar and lounge areas.
Ensure compliance with MAPAQ and CNESST regulations.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of tools, equipment, and glassware.
Perform and monitor daily and weekly cleaning routines.
Administrative & Operational Support
Assist with scheduling, payroll, and staff performance reviews.
Monitor and analyze beverage sales to implement revenue and margin growth strategies.
Contribute to event planning, seasonal promotions, and private functions.
Enforce company policies, workplace discipline, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of bar management or senior bartending experience in a high-end, high-volume setting.
Advanced expertise in mixology, wine, and spirits; WSET or equivalent certification an asset.
Strong leadership and bilingual communication skills (English & French).
Knowledge of inventory control, supplier management, and cost control.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Understanding of Quebec's MAPAQ and CNESST regulations.
Must reside in Quebec with a valid work permit (mandatory).
Flexible schedule -- evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
