Job Description


Cash Casino LP was recently acquired by a new ownership group and is undertaking a transformation and modernization of its casino businesses located in Calgary and Red Deer. We are an Alberta-based, family-owned business looking to grow our casino\xe2\x80\x99s team. Our current locations include Cash Casino Calgary, Cash Casino Red Deer and ACE Casino Calgary. We are currently constructing a brand new 72,000 sq ft casino at the Calgary International Airport to be announced!

Responsibilities

Primary

\xc2\xb7 Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Cash Casino Calgary

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis.

\xc2\xb7 Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.

\xc2\xb7 Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with casino policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure controls in place for electronic/cash transactions

\xc2\xb7 Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality & service

\xc2\xb7 Perform some food preparation or service tasks, such as cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel

\xc2\xb7 Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.

\xc2\xb7 Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guest\xe2\x80\x99s needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

\xc2\xb7 Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Supplemental

\xc2\xb7 Monitor employee and guest activities to ensure liquor regulations are obeyed.

\xc2\xb7 Develop, plan, and implement restaurant marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns.

\xc2\xb7 Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned.

\xc2\xb7 Work with culinary department to create specialty dishes and develop recipes to be used in dining facilities

Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as supervisor/manager in the hospitality environment

\xc2\xb7 Experience in back of the house and front of the house

\xc2\xb7 Casino or resort experience preferred

\xc2\xb7 Mandatory Valid AGLC Preserve Certification

\xc2\xb7 Basic food safety required
