With 236 elegantly appointed rooms and 5,000 square feet of meeting space, this hotel is consistently ranked the number one full service Marriott in Canada for overall guest satisfaction. As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hotel\'s dining and beverage outlets. You will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to maintain high-quality standards, maximize revenue, and provide an unforgettable dining experience to our guests. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of servers, bartenders, and support team to deliver exceptional service.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, banquets, and in room dining.
• Monitor guest feedback and take proactive measures to address concerns, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to meet financial goals while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with the culinary and bar team to create and update menus that cater to guest preferences and market trends.
• Oversee the planning and execution of special events, private dining, and banquets.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and licensing requirements.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the food and beverage team.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to optimize costs.
• Champions social media efforts to ensure messaging is dynamic, engaging and effective.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide the team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of food and beverage trends and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Valid Serving it Right certificate
• Bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
