Job Description

We are searching for reliable, qualified, and ambitious individuals to work as farm workers (self-managers) interested in farming and who can assist in the farm's ongoing operation. As part of our team, you will enjoy a positive, friendly, collaborative work environment.
Job Duties
-Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
-Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
-Harvest crops, fertilize and spray crops, examine produce for quality and prepare for market
-General farm maintenance and groundskeeping, cleaning barns
-Other general farm tasks as needed
- Work continues through the winter months
The position averages approx. 40 hours per week and some weekend work with the potential for more if interested
Requirements
Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills, demonstrates some observation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Able to perform physical tasks that require strength, coordination, and dexterity.
Able to show up to work, must have flexibility in scheduling and the ability to take part in the rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Willing to work until the task is complete, which can require long hours from time to time. We have vehicles and provide rides from Regina and have farm vehicles people can use if needed.
Comfortable around farm animals. Able to follow animal welfare standards. Experience with agriculture or farm animals is considered an asset
On-the-job training will be provided
Farming is a lifestyle, and we realize it may not be a fit for everyone but for those that choose it, you choose it because you love it. You will not be working around the clock, free time to enjoy life and spare time will be available as there are other employees on the farm but the applicant must understand the workday is often based on the weather forecast
