Best Way Pro Can Trucking is seeking a motivated

Assistant Dispatcher

to join our Dartmouth team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a "can-do" attitude.

In this role, you will support the coordination of daily transportation operations, including driver scheduling, route management, and customer service. You'll play a key part in ensuring timely, efficient, and professional delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with reception, pick-up calls, and customer inquiries. Schedule and dispatch drivers according to customer needs and delivery timelines. Coordinate and monitor daily transportation activities. Optimize route planning to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Communicate with drivers to track progress and resolve issues as they arise. Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain paperwork and documentation accurately. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations. Provide support to the Dispatch Supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, transportation, or a related field an asset. Previous dispatch or transportation industry experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Proficient with dispatch systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary:

$46,000-$55,000 per year
