Job Description

We are looking for an educator to join our management team as Assistant Director of our Kids' Stop Auburn Bay location! Looking for an energetic, hardworking, dedicated individual for our program that cares for children 0-6 years old. We are open Monday to Friday year round 6:30am-6:00pm. This is a full program with a capacity of 103 children.

What You Need:



Level 3 Alberta Early Childhood Education First Aid & CPR Criminal Record Clearance Food Safety & Handling Certification Management experience (due to the size of the program, previous management experience is preferred) Class 4 Driver's License (must have or be willing to obtain; more details provided in regards to reimbursement)

As Assistant Director you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the centre in a professional manner. Floor based position assisting with classroom ratio, training, support, and the program overall. This can be doing observations, assisting the classroom educators, assisting the children, break coverage, and more!. The Assistant Director will need to lead by example, maintaining a positive environment in all matters ensuring all employees follow and adhere to all policies and procedures.

As Assistant Director your day would include:

Classroom Guidance (ratio, classroom support, educator training) Parent Engagement Team Management (assisting with: training, hiring, guidance, reviews, etc.) Licensing Compliance Fire and Health Safety Compliance Team & Centre Activities Scheduling Assisting with Tours & Registration of New Families Classroom Observations and more!
Please note this is a management position, however the majority of the administration is handled by the Director and/or the off site administrative team. The Assistant Director is key to assisting with the team of educators, the children in our care, and being a positive ambassador in our community!
