As our Assistant Baker, you'll play an essential role in supporting our kitchen and ensuring every pastry, bread, and baked good meets our high standards. Working closely with our French Baker, you'll assist in preparing doughs, handling production tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and learning authentic baking techniques. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing doughs, batters, and fillings for croissants, sourdough, baguettes, brioche, and other French pastries
Support the baking process, including proofing, shaping, and finishing products
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all baked goods under the guidance of the French Baker
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
Assist with inventory rotation and ingredient preparation
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
Provide support in testing new recipes and bakery offerings
Requirements
Previous experience as a baker, pastry cook, or kitchen assistant (French baking experience is an asset but not required)
Willingness to learn artisan techniques such as dough fermentation and lamination
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work early mornings and follow directions in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Food handler's certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Creativity, teamwork, and passion for baking

Tuesday to Saturday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
