Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Spreader/Roller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to spread and compact asphalt on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asphalt paving processes and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

Operate asphalt spreaders and rollers to ensure smooth and even application of asphalt. Prepare and maintain the work area by digging, building, and forming concrete as needed. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in loader operation for material handling as required. Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure compliance with specifications.

Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with asphalt spreaders and rollers. Familiarity with concrete finishing and forming techniques is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience in commercial driving is a plus, as it may be required for transporting equipment or materials. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions are essential for success in this role.

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
