Job Description


OverviewLafarge in Saskatoon is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Crew to join our Construction division. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the construction and maintenance of asphalt roads and surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards are met.Positions Available:

  • Skid Steers Operators
  • Roller Operators
  • Milling Machine Operators
  • Paver Operators
  • Screed Operators
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain asphalt paving equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform asphalt paving tasks including but not limited to: spreading and leveling asphalt, compacting surfaces using rollers, excavating and grading areas, and operating skid steers for various tasks.
  • Ensure proper drainage and compaction of asphalt surfaces to meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete paving projects within scheduled timelines.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies regarding waste disposal and material usage.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns that may arise during paving operations.
Qualification
  • Previous experience in asphalt paving or construction-related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment such as rollers, excavators, skid steers, dozers, graders, and water trucks.
  • Valid driver\'s license with clean driving record (3A license required for Water Truck Operators).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Willing to work overtime when needed including Saturdays
