This course surveys the history of art and visual culture from prehistoric times to the present. Taking a global perspective, students discover key moments in the development of human creativity, which continue to shape our understanding of the material, historical, and social importance of art in the present day.

Position Requirements
The successful candidate will possess at minimum a MA in Art History or be in the process of completing such a degree. PhDs in Art History or related critical and theoretical disciplines are encouraged to apply. Candidates who hold MFAs in Visual Arts or current MFA students in Visual Arts with extensive art historical experience, such as peer-reviewed publications, presentations, or curatorial projects, may be considered. University teaching experience is preferred.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours
ARTH 100-314/397 is scheduled for online asynchronous delivery.
