Area Service Manager - Client in agricultural industry
Our client is looking for a motivated Area Service Manager with a specialization in planters and seeders. The Area Service Manager will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role requires strong technical skills, familiarity with agricultural machinery, and a commitment to customer service excellence. In this position, the Area Service Manager will be responsible, but not exclusively for the following task, in Western Canada.
On a daily basis you will have to:
Independent one-on-one demonstrations of equipment from the entire portfolio of products.
First use of sold equipment in collaboration with sales partners.
Provide technical support and guidance to farmers and dealer technicians.
Conducting training courses for dealer technicians.
Training of farmers on the optimal use of the equipment with the sales partners.
Service interventions and warranty work as part of after-sales service.
Set-up and tear-down of local trade shows and in-house exhibitions, as well as active participation during exhibitions.
Requirements:
Certification or degree in Agricultural Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience working with agricultural equipment, particularly planters and seeders.
Familiarity with precision agriculture systems (e.g., John Deere, Case IH, or Ag Leader).
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of planting systems, seed metering mechanisms, and soil preparation equipment.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to operate farm equipment is a plus.
Based out of Western Canada.
