Our five major products are panelized wall, roof truss, window and components with our extrusion, hardwood floor with finishing, kitchen/washroom/ closet cabinets with finishing, moulding and trims.Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
• Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
• Develop and prepare design sketches
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
• Write technical reports
• Prepare contracts and tender documents
• Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates

Qualifications

• Practical experience in the building design is a must
• Diploma in Architectural Technology or Bachelor of Architectural Science or equivalent

• Knowledge of current Ontario Building Code
• Positive attitude and work ethic
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
• Experienced with AutoCad, chief architect or sketchup
• Experienced in residential drafting

Nice to have

• Experienced in MiTek
• BCIN
• Speaking Mandarin

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per yearFlexible language requirement:

• Port Hope, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred)
• Residential project constrcution: 2 years (preferred)
• Construction estimating: 1 year (preferred)
