Architectural Technologist/Designer ZO1 Ltd is a progressive architectural firm specializing in small to large-scale, high-density and multi-phase developments from concept design to construction completion. We are a group of passionate architects who has extensive design and development experience in the Greater Toronto Area. Our portfolio of work is diverse. We are currently working on a wide range of projects from low to high-rise to large scale urban intensification development. Most of our projects are working directly with established developers in the Greater Toronto Area. We offer competitive package including flexible hours and health benefits. Qualifications:
- Successfully graduated with an Architectural Technologist Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in architectural design or technologist roles, with preparation of working drawings
- Excellent in Revit, AutoCAD
- Proficiency in drafting using Revit
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Photoshop and other 3D modeling software
- Experience and expertise in construction documentation encompassing residential and commercial projects
- Demonstrated talent in design and knowledge of concrete and wood frame construction systems
- Hands-on construction experience an asset (and should be highlighted in your application)
- Ability to work well either on a team or independently managing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate with team members to produce working drawings and 3D models of architectural designs for innovative multi-disciplinary projects - specifically Multi-Residential, Commercial, and Institutional
- Comfortable interacting with external contractors and consultants
- Dedicated to meeting project deadlines and major deliverables
- Able to provide and receive feedback positively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of building code
- Excellent time management skills
- A quick learner with precise attention to detail
- Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparation of design drawings and construction documents for various types of residential and commercial projects in Revit
- Develop and design construction details for wood frame as well as concrete buildings, using AutoCAD and Revit
- Coordination with consulting engineers and landscape architects
- Possess a working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and can complete OBC analysis on projects
- Proficient knowledge in the use of building materials and related construction techniques
- Must be capable of working on multiple projects at a time.
- Assist with applications for planning approvals and building permits
- Research materials
- Assist with contract administration
- Assist with determining project statistics
- Receive direct supervision from an architect (for Junior position)
