Position Overview




The Architectural Technologist will support Axxys' construction and the Design-Build team by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural drawings and technical documentation. This role ensures that all project designs are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with client requirements, while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into construction documents. Review and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning bylaws, and construction standards. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to clarify technical details and resolve design issues. Support the tendering process by preparing technical documents and reviewing bids. Conduct site visits to verify work against drawings and provide technical support during construction. Maintain up-to-date project documentation and drawing revisions. Contribute to design efficiency and cost-effectiveness by recommending technical improvements.

Qualifications & Skills



Construction related education (Architecture / Engineering / Architectural Technology). Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology (or equivalent). Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction or architectural design. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/drafting software. Solid understanding of building codes, construction practices, and materials. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills interacting directly with clients' architects, consultants, contractors, trades. Etc
