Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be willing to learn, responsible and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare preliminary plans and 3D presentation drawings based on clients' requirements. Prepare presentations for client meetings, design review and approval. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections and site plans. Ensure all drawings comply with the Ontario Building Code and applicable by-laws. Prepare documents for planning or permit applications. Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process. Coordinate with municipalities to ensure permit is issued.

Education:

A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent. BCIN Courses are preferred, but not mandatory.

Skills:

Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Revit or other 3D drafting software an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat. Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills. Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building code, zoning by-laws and regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently as well as a collaborative team. Must be able to receive and incorporate feedback. Must be kind, compassionate, and positive to work with our clients and other coworkers.

Job Particulars:
