The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform as an architect
Preparation of planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects
Use computer software as a tool for solving architectural problems
Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes
Provide support to the Architectural Manager on all phases of building design projects as required.
Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients
Preparation of detailed architectural designs, architectural details and specifications
Working with various disciplines to develop designs, meet with clients as required.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Architecture with + 4+ years of relevant professional experience with complex buildings (commercial, institutional, industrial, etc., preferably transportation)
Proficiency in Revit is a must
Must be a Licensed Architect with the AIBC
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institute or equivalent experience
Ability to work within in a dynamic multi-disciplinary in-house consultant team
Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing
Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Demonstrated strong creativity in design
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work with various Canadian municipalities for permitting and development approvals process
Strong conceptual and technical design skills
Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the BC Building Code
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player
High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
Candidate must be dedicated to working hard with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately
