We are currently seeking an

Apprentice Metal Fabricator (fitter)

to join our growing team. This role focuses primarily on metal fabrication for industrial equipment and enclosure projects, with some welding components involved as part of the fabrication process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate custom steel and metal enclosure components Performin-house fabricationof steel products, includingmeasuring, cutting, fitting,assembling, and welding as required Operate and maintain various welding equipment, plasma cutters, and grinders Work with a range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel Measure, cut, and fit metal using saws, shears, and other fabrication tools Use hand and power tools to shape, form, and finish metal components as required Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, client specifications, and safety requirements

Qualifications:

Registered Metal Fabrication Apprentice or equivalent practical experience. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and forming metal. High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Good communication and problem-solving skills High school diploma or completion of metalworking or welding courses is an asset Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn different aspects of the job Forklift experience is an asset (training and certification can be provided on site)
Work hours are 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with plans to add 3 x 12-hour shifts, Friday to Sunday. Pay rate $25-$28
