LiftWerx is a specialized wind energy contractor which performs large corrective repairs, utilizing both ground-based cranes as well as up-tower cranes. LiftWerx offers both specialized equipment and experienced personnel to perform corrective repairs on a wide variety of wind turbines.

This role is an on-site position based out of our office in Cambridge, ON.

Responsibilities

The applications engineer works directly with utilities and wind turbine OEMs to develop and deliver service solutions for complex wind turbine repairs using LiftWerx's up-tower crane technology. Efficiently develop clear and concise estimates and proposals for technical services and products ranging from ~$100k to >$50M. Work closely with new and existing customers, to develop innovative technical solutions to new problems sometimes with long development lead times. Engage internal engineering and operations teams to align on service concepts and methodologies. Work daily with new and existing customers to deliver on service needs with existing LiftWerx products. Assist sales team, pre-screening of opportunities with sales team and providing sales presentations to customer personnel, when required. Development of relevant tools, processes and improvement initiatives to ensure department procedural compliance and best practices. Clearly define the scope of work to ensure effective guidance for project teams. Identify potential project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Work with innovation team to identify and propose future technologies that meet customer needs and industry advancements. Experience & Education

3-5 years of experience in the applications development, customer requirements gathering and presenting. Wind energy O&M industry, specifically related to cranes, logistics, wind turbine major corrective repairs considered an asset. Engineering or business degree or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft applications. Familiar with the use of a CRM and ERP system. English, fluent proficiency verbal and written.
