Location - Hybrid work model. Must be willing to work in our Toronto office up to 2 days per week.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for maintaining record-keepings for all month-end close activities and journal entries.
  • Work closely with the accounting and FP&A teams, to ensure bills are recorded in GL codes/class.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts payable and cost transactions, including providing support to the wider team with month-end accruals postings, for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting.
  • Work with outside auditing firm during annual audit.
  • Ensure payment processing in done on time and AP is up to date, including being one of the approvers of payments in the business, and ensuring payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with cost owners, to ensure invoicing and billing is kept relevant, and suppliers account delays are actioned
  • Manage the AP analysts and review their work performed.
  • Maintain the authorisation\'s matrix for Quark, including quarterly reporting to Travelopia.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including Travelopia treasury, and banking partners, being the point of contact for AP-related items.
  • Review and refine the AP process, towards more automation and efficiencies, controls and checks, process documentation and audit trails, moving to fewer (weekly, or less) payment runs, and point-in-time reporting.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in QuickBooks (and SAP preferred).
  • Track record of working in cross functional organizations and managing a team.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Excellent analytical skills; focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to streamline and sophisticated processes.
