Accounting Manager

Job Description


Our client from Markham Toronto; is looking for a Accounting Manager for 3 months contract opportunity. Working on a Remote model, the Accounting Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the accounting function, applying accounting principles and procedures in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. Below is the detailed responsibilities:

Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated P- Review and manage reconciliation processes by leveraging on existing team\'s knowledge
- Maintain system chart of accounts and P- Liaise with Tax Experts in compiling and filing annual tax and month sales tax information in US and Canada
- Liaise with insurance providers on renewals
- Cash management duties maintenance and compile weekly cash flow
- Provide direction and guidance to staff on work assigned as well as day to day supervision
- Oversee AP and AR functions - develop the right hierarchy, assist in coaching and mentoring staffs in function
- AP - assist in developing payment process to safeguard company assets, mentor AP manager during onboarding, assist in implementation of new safeguards
- AR - develop processes to expedite collection of receivables, assist in resolving past aged items, including but not limited to issues resulting from to transition to JF
- Assist in reviewing payroll entries
- Manage Coordinate period end close process
- Lead and manage audit requirements
- Take part in select due diligence and transactions
- Manage select reorganizations as required
- Maintain oversight of inventory - take part in monthly inventory count, review and post inventory posting as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree or diploma in Finance/Accounting; CPA designation required.
- Minimum 3-4 years\' experience.
- Advanced analysis experience, ability to interpret financial results, and strong attention to detail
- Sound organizational, communication and leadership skills together with excellent time management ability
- Uses initiative and can think outside the box

- Self-responsible and team oriented approach
- Advanced accounting knowledge
