Job description:
This is a full-time year-round position Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This position is responsible for multiple functions within the finance and administrative office, working closely with the Guest Booking Admin, Payroll Admin, and CFO.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing accounts payable process, from effective communication with vendors, to entry and coding of invoices, to production of vendor payment,
Ensuring verification and approval of payables invoices is completed in a thorough and timely manner to facilitate biweekly payables runs,
Preparing reconciliations of credit cards and clearing accounts,
Maintaining highly organized electronic filing system for paid and unpaid invoices,
Reconciling and recording booking data from reservations booking software into account software on a daily basis. Regularly reviewing and reconciling any variances between the two systems,
Assisting in the compilation of documents and reconciliation of bank, visa, clearing, receivables and inventory accounts, for month end and year end reporting purposes,
Providing back-up to the Guest Booking Administrator by answering general phone inquiries when support is needed,
Supporting the efficient running of the office sharing in the duties of stocking office supplies, paper stock, ink, etc,
Assist and support the lodge with adhoc errands from time to time.
Location:
This position will be primarily based at our office in Golden, BC with the occasional day requiring work to be performed at the Chatter Creek heliport in Donald, BC (just 20 minutes west of Golden, BC).
Experience & Requirements:
Prior bookkeeping experience, and/or accounting or bookkeeping diploma is preferred,
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and accounting math skills required,
Experience working in SAGE or other accounting software MS Office suite, Outlook, and Google docs required,
Valid driver's license & access to a vehicle preferred,
Guest service and previous heli or catski lodge experiences is an asset.
Compensation:
The starting pay rate offered for this role will be based on the individual candidate's experience level,
The pay range for this role will be variable based on the individual's ability to successfully manage additional responsibilities,
