Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer graphics and animation, with proficiency in various software and programming languages. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports our creative projects effectively.

Pay Rate: $30-33 /hour

Location: 100% On-Site (Vancouver)

Full-Time Role | Monday to Friday,

Duties:

Providing day-to-day technical support for Mac OSX, Windows, iOS, and Linux systems used by the animation and VFX teams Troubleshooting hardware and software issues including desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and mobile devices Supporting industry-standard software like Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Workspace Managing help desk tickets, prioritizing requests, and escalating complex issues to other tech teams Assisting with onboarding and technology training for new employees Creating self-help documentation and training videos to help users solve common tech challenges Collaborating with various departments to continuously improve IT processes and workflows

Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or user support, preferably in an animation studio or production environment At least 3 years supporting Windows and Mac OS systems Experience with hardware/software troubleshooting and repair (3 years preferred) Minimum 2 years of help desk support experience Familiarity with animation/VFX software such as Maya and Adobe Creative Suite Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, etc.)
