THE ROLE:
We're helping our Edmonton client find a talented and dedicated Client Services IT Technician with strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical issues involving hardware, software, and networks. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional first-line technical support, ensuring systems run smoothly, and maximizing productivity across the board. Working both in person and remotely, you'll collaborate with users to identify and address concerns while maintaining a sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Primary Technical Support: Act as the front-line contact for users, addressing tickets and resolving technical issues related to computers, software, and hardware via phone, email, or in person
• Systems Maintenance: Perform day-to-day system maintenance, including installations, repairs, and optimization of computer systems
• Issue Resolution: Analyze customer-reported problems, diagnose root causes, and provide step-by-step guidance to implement effective solutions, leveraging diagnostic tools as needed
• Networking Expertise: Handle troubleshooting for Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and third-party systems, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity
• Client Engagement: Follow up with users to confirm resolutions, gather feedback on IT systems, and ensure a seamless user experience
• Consultative Role: Recommend tailored IT solutions based on customers' unique needs and requirements
• Billing Management: Responsible for timely submission of billable calendar entries to the Accounting Department to support client invoicing

Requirements:
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Our ideal candidate should bring the following blend of technical knowledge, experience, and interpersonal skills:
Experience: At least 2 years in a Microsoft 365 administration and licensing role, with strong expertise in technical support for computer systems and Office applications
Core Technical Skills:
Familiarity with PC deployment, general server management, and Windows Server administration
Hands-on experience with server backup solutions like Veeam and Windows Backup
Server and workstation AV knowledge
Proficiency in antivirus solutions for both servers and workstations
Knowledge of PC, network, and server hardware, as well as basic storage systems like NAS, SAN, and RAID.
Experience with Windows operating systems (7 to 11 Pro), Windows Server (2008 to 2025), and Office applications.
Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot new or unfamiliar technologies
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical users
Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset for identifying issues and implementing creative, scalable solutions
Customer Service Excellence: A strong commitment to delivering quality assistance to users and maintaining client satisfaction
Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to keep accurate records and manage multiple priorities
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with key industries like finance, technology, or healthcare is an asset
