Agri-Business Underwriter. Reporting to the Team Leader of Agri-Business & Commercial Auto Underwriting as a vital member of the dynamic Underwriting Team, you will work closely with our broker partners to
provide insurance solutions that meet the changing needs of our Agri-Business consumers. What Will You Be Doing?

• Quote, underwrite and issue new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations for all

aspects of farm property policies

• Identify opportunities to up sell products, coverage and limits
• Review risk inspections and create risk management recommendations
• Build strong relationships with brokers
• Consistently demonstrate strong communication, decision making and negotiation skills
• Share knowledge and collaborate with team members as required
• Participate in Industry and Ag related events, including trade shows
• Keep current on industry and market trends as they pertain to agri-business

Who You Are:

• Graduate from a recognized diploma program in Insurance or a strong equivalent combination of experience,

education and training

• Background and experience in agricultural and/or farm operations
• Experience in the P&C industry, with a focus in agriculture and/or commercial
• CIP designation or actively pursuing
• Detail oriented and well organized professional, with strong analytical decision making and negotiation skills
• Innovative thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, or as part of a team
• Ontario Driver's License and access to transportation
