Join Our Team: After-School Music Teachers (Ages 6-11)

Do you come alive when kids experience music for the first time? We're looking for energetic and imaginative music educators to join our After-School Program team at On The Off Beat Music School, starting September 2025.

We're not your average music school -- and we like it that way. As active gigging musicians and educators who've taught at nearly every major music school in Toronto, we know the challenges of this industry firsthand. That's why we've created a supportive, musician-first workplace where creativity, community, and quality teaching thrive.

What You'll Do:

You'll lead engaging, hands-on group music classes designed to spark curiosity and joy in students ages 6-11. Past classes have included:

Glee Club Ukulele Jam Musical Theatre Singing & Songwriting Taylor Swift Song Study
You'll also:

Guide small groups in a safe, structured, and fun environment Escort students from nearby schools to our east-end studio (Gerrard & Jones) Teach weekday shifts from approx. 3:10-6:00 PM Earn $105 per session

Stick around after class! We offer the opportunity to teach private lessons from 6:00-9:00 PM -- a great way to expand your roster and increase your income.

Who You Are:

? Experienced in working with children (especially ages 6-11)
? Background in music education, performance, or both
? Confident leading group classes with structure and fun
? Dependable, enthusiastic, and clear with communication
? Comfortable accompanying kids on short walks from local schools

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:

Teaching: 4 years (preferred)
