Job Description


The opportunity The Human Resources Advisor participates in the recruitment of various head office positions, as well as in the development and deployment of programs promoting employee commitment and the achievement of corporate objectives. They will be called upon to contribute to initiatives designed to meet local needs. They will also support Gildan head office managers and employees in various aspects of human resources management. The role Work closely with managers to fully understand their needs, challenges and business realities in order to develop a customized talent attraction and assessment strategy;

  • Plan and conduct a rigorous talent acquisition process to deliver an exceptional candidate experience;
  • Participate in various projects related to talent acquisition, employer branding or other related areas;
  • Participate in the development of human resources practices and programs that contribute to performance management, succession management and the achievement of organizational objectives;
  • Participate in the implementation of expected organizational changes to promote individual and team performance;
  • Advise, support and coach managers and employees in the interpretation and application of policies, programs, and various labor and other applicable laws;
  • Advise managers and employees to prevent or resolve problem situations;
  • Ensure the processing and follow-up of activities related to the life cycle of employees at the Montreal head office, more specifically:
    • Actions related to the administration of compensation, positions, requests for maternity/parental leave, disability and benefits; departures (voluntary or involuntary), conduct exit interviews;
    • Ensure all activities related to the integration of new employees;
    • Responsible for coordinating various human resources events and programs, such as the years of service recognition program;
  • Plan, implement and participate in key human resources management activities, such as performance management, compensation, succession planning and leadership development;
  • Participate in the improvement of various HR processes and special projects;
  • Assist the Senior Manager, HR in the implementation of any other HR programs for head office employees.

What you bring to the role
Knowledge & Professional Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in human resources management or industrial relations;
  • 3 years of experience in human resources management and talent acquisition;

  • Demonstrate autonomy, flexibility and the ability to adapt to new situations.
  • Good adaptability in a high-performance culture where precision and rigor are valued;

  • You have strong communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English.
