Job Description

Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 hours per week Education: College/CEGEP Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Legal assistant/paralegal Vocational high school and secondary business/vocational-industrial/occupational diploma programs High school certificate of competence programs or equivalent experience

Tasks

Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material Schedule and confirm appointments Maintain filing system Record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings or conferences Determine and establish office procedures and routines Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage Perform basic bookkeeping tasks Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems Conduct research Assist in searching and seizing records to prepare charges and documentation for court cases.
