Administration Specialist 15 Month Contract

Job Description


:
The Administration Specialist is responsible for investigating and processing policies on the Canada Life Living Benefits weekly reports. The reports include system administration and client reviews for new business additions, policy changes and terminations. In addition to the weekly reports, the Administration Specialist will work on various other tasks, including cleaning up system errors and providing support to other members of the team as needed. The Administration Specialist works in an independent environment and is in a time sensitive role.


What you will do

  • Review the Canada Life Living Benefits weekly and monthly reports to ensure that any automated processing was completed correctly and to process any manual entries where required
  • Review policies on a client level to ensure compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s limits
  • Investigate, analyze, and process any discrepancies that are identified
  • Ensure that all processing is in accordance with the reinsurance agreements
  • Running monthly/quarterly reports and creating workflow cards
  • Monitoring the team mailbox
  • Adhoc duties as assigned

What you will bring
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year business experience
  • Proven mathematical aptitude with a knowledge of basic accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with Living Benefits products or Reinsurance would be an asset
  • Good keyboarding skills (work mainly uses the number pad) with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Superior time management skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills both written and verbally
  • Ability to work independently
