Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk ****contract****
Industry Sector: Pharmaceutical /Health Care
Hourly Rate: $25+/hr
Term: minimum 2 months and temp to perm
Location: Hamilton area, Ontario

Our health care client needs help for 6 months within AR and cash applications. This role could turn into a permanent general accounting clerk role for the right hire! Located SouthWest of the GTA this is an excellent opportunity for a new Grad with 1-3 years experience to get started in their accounting career!

This client brings specialty products, knowledge and services to the healthcare industry in North America.

About the role
Working closely with the Accounting Team and reporting into the Controller, this role requires someone with energy, enthusiasm and a desire to grow and climb. Responsibilities will include:

• support all AR collections (sending invoices, customer statements, follow up etc)
• process credit card transactions
• posting and application of approved transactions to customer invoice in ERP (200-300 transactions/month)
• Additional duties as required such as A/P, expense reporting and account reconciliations

About the candidate:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Min 1 year AR, Collections, Cash Applications, and Customer Service experience
• Experience with ERP/Accounting Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Credit Card Platform: Authorize.net experience an asset!
• Excellent computer skills
• A self-starter with good interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships within their team and across departments
