Job Description

Job Summary:

Robert Half id partnering with a non-profit organization, seeking an experienced AR Billing Specialist to join the team for a 6 months contract.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process for the organization, including invoicing, billing, and collections. The AR Billing Specialist will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, as well as maintaining records and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Generate and send invoices for services provided by the organization
- Process and reconcile payments received, and proactively send notice for pending payments
- lead the collections efforts for the organization and be proactive in managing the aging report
- Maintain accurate records of billing and payment activity
- Communicate with stakeholders to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Work with accounting team to reconcile accounts receivable ledger and general ledger
- Prepare monthly and annual reports on AR activity
- Assist with annual audit and other financial reporting as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline AR billing and collections

- Experience in a non-profit organization preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, Cash applications, and collections
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulations is a plus
