Position Summary

Mustang is looking for an

Accounts Payable & Payroll Clerk

. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the potential candidate will assist in a wide range of clerical and technical activities as assigned. Administrative functions will include accounts payable, payroll duties and accounting related duties. The ideal candidate will be available Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Full cycle accounts payable Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Match invoice with purchase orders and receipts Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Process vendor payments by cheque, EFT and bill payments online Completing hired cartage reports Line haul reports Assist with month end closing activities Support audits and compliance requirements Assist with processing payroll including data entry, overtime calculations and stat pay Act as a back -up when needed for the Payroll Administrator Respond professionally to vendor, employee, and third party requests via email and phone And other duties as assigned.
We are looking for a positive individual to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following

qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required, diploma in accounting or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable Previous experience with payroll preferred Knowledge of basic accounting principles Experience with ERP systems and some experience with payroll software preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Excellent communication skills Positive team player

Working Conditions

Office environment Ability to lift up to 10 lbs Over time as required, submit for approval by supervisor
