Position: Accounts Payable Technician
Location: Hybrid: 3 days in Office in Etobicoke
Salary: $55K+

Our client, in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to join their team in their Etobicoke office. If you display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills, you are a detail oriented, and a team player, then this is the opportunity for you.

Requirements:

- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors/inconsistencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Excel and any accounting software
- French is an asset
- Ability to work well in a team environment and with upper management
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Major Accountabilities:

- Process invoices and payment requests, including screening for compliance and submitting for payment; tracking down missing invoices and following up on payments
- Maintain contact information for vendors and customers, update customer records
- Support procurement activities by preparing purchase orders
- Provide back-up support for corporate credit cards and expense report processing
- Maintain files and supporting documentation for audit purposes
- Support quarter-end closing process by collecting invoices and supporting documentation for accruals, responding to information requests
- Follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
- Provide administrative support to the Finance team
